My Golf Improvement Journal: Tracking My UK Progress

This Improvement Log is dedicated to documenting my personal journey to becoming a better golfer.

You’ll get an honest, behind-the-scenes look at my practice sessions and a detailed breakdown of every round of golf I play. I’ll be tracking my performance statistics and analysing the data to find out where I can make the most significant improvements. I see this section of my golf blog as my living golf diary, a space to reflect on the good, the bad, and the ugly, and share the lessons learned as I work hard to become a scratch golfer.

Current progress and key focus

At present, my WHI is sitting at 7.4, where it has been for 2 years despite putting in several qualifying scorecards. Ideally, I would like to reduce this to 4.0 by the end of the 2026 season. I’m being realistic here as I currently don’t play as many competitive rounds as I’d like to. Whilst the long-term goal is 0.0, getting there by the end of next season is not a realistic possibility.

Current Focus

Improve golf swing by going back to basics. Increased turn, more in-to-out swing path and shallower angle of attack.
